Where I started...

I first fell in love with watercolour—the softness, the unpredictability, the way it seemed to mirror emotion through every brushstroke.

It was my first creative language, and it taught me how to observe the world gently and honestly. From there, I began creating pet portraits, primarily in pastel.

I loved the connection it brought with others—the trust placed in me to capture the unique spirit of someone’s beloved animal companion. It was a time of precision and patience, and it helped me build the foundations of my practice.

How it evolved...

Over time, though, I began to crave something less exact. Something freer. That search led me to abstract and abstract realism—and something in me shifted.

For the first time, I felt like I was painting from within rather than trying to replicate the world as it appeared. There’s a sense of release in abstraction that I hadn’t felt before.

It gives me space to express emotion, energy, memory, and movement in a way that’s deeply personal but still open to interpretation.

That, to me, is the magic of art.

Where I am now...

My work now explores the tension between freedom and form. I often blend loose, expressive marks with subtle hints of realism, allowing texture, layering, and colour to take centre stage.

I work mainly in acrylic and oils, though my earlier love for watercolour still echoes through my process.Whether I’m painting florals, faces, animals, or shapes that defy definition, my goal is always the same: to create something that feels alive.

Thank you for being here. I hope you find something in my work that speaks to you—whether it's a sense of peace, movement, nostalgia, or curiosity.

Welcome to my imagination.
